June and Charles moved to Mahone Bay in 1990. They operated the Garden Gate Bed and Breakfast at 404 Main St. for several years, and later built a house at the bottom of Long Hill Road. They spent a couple of years in Ottawa and Toronto, and returned to Mahone Bay in 1999, buying a house a little bit further up the Long Hill.
